Overview
circle! e-friend finder collects only the data necessary to operate the platform. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over your data.
Information We Collect
When you sign in via osu! OAuth, we receive your public osu! profile information (including your user ID, username, avatar, global rank, badge count, and country). We also store any profile details you voluntarily provide on this site (age, gender, bio, discord username) as well as messages you send to other users and your browse filter preferences.
How We Use Your Information
Your data is used to display your profile to other users, power the browse and messaging features, and allow admins to moderate the platform. We do not use your data for advertising, analytics resale, or any purpose beyond operating this service.
Data Storage and Security
All user data is stored in Firebase, a Google Cloud service. Session data is stored server-side. We never store your osu! password (authentication is handled entirely through osu!'s official OAuth flow). While we take reasonable precautions, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
Visibility of Your Data
Your profile (avatar, username, rank, age, gender, bio) is visible to all logged-in users on the browse page. Messages are private between you and the recipient. We do not make your email or osu! OAuth token visible to anyone.
Message Monitoring and Reports
Messages are not actively monitored in real time. However, we reserve the right to review message content for moderation and safety purposes. If a user submits a report, the messages associated with or related to that report may be read by site administrators as part of the review process. By using the messaging feature, you acknowledge that your messages are not guaranteed to be private from site staff.
Deleting Your Data
You can permanently delete your account at any time from the preferences page. This removes your profile, bio, preferences, and inbox from our system. Some residual data such as moderation records or reports may be retained for a short period for safety purposes.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any form of cross-site tracking.
Children's Privacy
This site is strictly 18+. We do not knowingly collect or retain data from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will immediately terminate it and remove associated data.
